Unlike the other countries where Russia is building NPPs on “turnkey” basis, in India Atomstroyexport is just supplying equipment and supervising the work. The rest of the work is being done by Indian construction and installation organizations, which are thereby acquiring necessary experience.
The Indians certainly realized that it would be huge and hard work and that they might fail to launch the plant in time. India can rely on Russia in the matter. We can help them and teach them a lot. As regards the possible delays, they will not affect our good relations, as India has lots of nuclear energy projects and they are based on constructive relationship with Russia.
