— The Indians are interested in actively developing their nuclear power industry

The cooperation of Russia and India in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy is of strategic importance and the delivery of nuclear fuel to the construction site of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant has proved this. India is an important partner for Russia. In Feb 2008 India and Russia initialed a framework inter-governmental agreement for cooperation in the construction of four additional reactors at Kudankulam (state of Tamil Nadu) and at other sites.

The Indians are interested  in actively developing their nuclear power industry and are showing impressive achievements under the Kudankulam NPP project : they are building the plant themselves while Russia is supervising the project, delivering equipment and training personnel.
