– Stoppage of ADE-5 reactor is one more step towards construction of an NPP in Seversk

This is a remarkable event as the stoppage of ADE-5 reactor is one more step towards the construction of a nuclear power plant in Seversk. We have solved our current energy problems: we decided to stop the reactor only when we found a temporary alternative – reconstruction of Seversk thermal power plant.

We know that this is a top priority for the governor of Tormsk region Viktor Kress and the managers of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corproation and I am sure that Seversk and Tormsk region will have no problems with the next heating season and that the reconstructed TPP will be provided with modern and safe equipment. As regards the attitude of our people towards the construction of Seversk NPP, I have seen myself an action in support of the project.
