The establishment of the National Nuclear University on the basis of Moscow Physics and Engineering Institute was the key topic of the past conference in Elektrostal. We must create an effective personnel training system and the National Nuclear University will be the first stone in the base of a national network of research universities. Rosatom must not only create demand for effective personnel training at this university but must also take an active part in the development of its curricula, education quality standards and probation programs.

We really need such a university as the federal target program for the development of the nuclear industry till 2020 implies recruitment a very big number of highly-qualified specialists – not only operators but also constructors. And all of them must undergo special training. Today, our personnel are growing younger and we must encourage this process.

Today, the industry is stably developing. This rate suggests that in the very near future we will need lots of highly qualified specialists. So, we must open the university as quickly as possible.
