– I am impressed with the energy of Rosatom in developing our nuclear industry

I am impressed with the energy Rosatom is showing in reviving and developing our nuclear industry.

We all perfectly understand that nuclear power industry is one of the pillars of our economy and one of our key assets. It is obvious that the present grandiose plans are backed up by ready strategies and specific actions.

Today, Rosatom is doing its best to make the federal target program a reality.

Of course, there are certain objective obstacles but Rosatom is doing all it can to overcome them.

As regards our work, this year we have finalized an international strategic master-plan for quick liquidation of the threats of the “cold war” in North-Western Russia. The head of the corporation has confirmed the document and has instructed all concerned parties to start its implementation. It was a big collective project – the first example of system approach to the development of big programs. We are very happy to see that our work has been successful.

I think that safety must be the top priority under any projects in the sphere. So, next year we must pay even bigger attention to the problem of nuclear and radiation safety.

At first, I was skeptical about the ambitious plans of Rosatom but, today, I see that the agency is doing perfectly well and I am beginning to hope that the renaissance of our nuclear industry is possible.
