– Construction of NPP will become a guarantee of national security for Belarus

Presently, the greater part of Belarus’s electricity is imported from Russia. Belarus has had no problems with fuel import so far, except for the gas price talks. Nevertheless, the authorities of that country are going to obtain guarantees of its energy independence.

Byelorussian NPP may well be built in Mahilyow region, 100 km from the Russian border and Russia will certainly take part in the tender for its construction.
