We are actively involved in the Russian-Indian cooperation in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy as we are the general designer of the first two units of Kudankulam NPP.

We have welcomed the report about the initial signing of an agreement for the construction of four more units at Kudankulam NPP and for cooperation on other sites as it will allow us to use the experience we have acquired under NPP design projects in Russia, India and other countries.

Atomenergoproekt FSUE (Moscow) is one of the key engineering companies of Rosatom. It is the designer of most of the nuclear power plants in Russia, Eastern Europe and the CIS. Particularly, it is the designer of Bushehr and Kudankulam, NPPs that are being built in Iran and India, respectively. Atomenergoproekt is the general designer of Belene NPP in Bulgaria. In 2007 the company started the construction of the 1st unit of Novovoronezh NPP-2 in the framework of the federal target program for the development of the nuclear industry of Russia in 2007–2010 and –2015.
