I am very glad that one more professional nuclear worker has been placed at the head of the energy sector. I personally know Sergey Shmatko. He is a real professional. Our institute closely cooperates with Atomstroyexport CJSC. We produce components for WWER reactors and export them via Atomstroyexport, a company applying serious and professional approaches and solutions. Shmatko was the key guarantor of its success in whatever project it undertook: be it the Tianwan project in China or the projects in Iran and Bulgaria. Presently, we are jointly preparing for deliveries for the Belene project.

Shmatko will actively contribute to the timely and effective implementation of the tasks set by our Government in the energy sector.

Some people take the nuclear power industry separately from the energy sector and say that it has its own way. But our program to increase the share of nuclear power plants in the total electricity generation from 16% to 24% is crucial for the whole energy sector. I think that with a “single headed” sector we will achieve much better results. We have really tremendous plans and we will achieve them!
