Governor of Tomsk region Viktor Kress has given his consent to the allocation of two units of Seversk NPP in the territory of the region
The governor of Tomsk region Viktor Kress has considered Rosatom’s declaration of intention to finance the construction of the 1st and 2nd units of Seversk Nuclear Power Plant submitted to him by the deputy director general-the director for development of Rosenergoatom Concern Alexander Polushkin and has given his consent to the allocation of the plant in the territory of the region within the borders of the Seversk closed administrative territorial unit
Resolution N301 signed by Kress on May 20 2008 recommends conducting feasibility study and ecological assessment of the Seversk NPP project in line with the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation and, jointly with the administration of Seversk, to determine the form and date of the public hearings of the project for its further examination by relevant government agencies.
