Beloyarsk NPP: Capacity reduced

The capacity of Beloyarsk NPP was reduced from 600MW to 400MW on June 24 at 9:37 AM (local time)

The reduction of the capacity followed the detection of a problem in the rotation speed control system of one of the main circulation pumps. In order to remove the defect, the automatic protection system turned off one of the cooling loops. 

Such problems cause no changes in radiation background. The plant is operating safely. As soon as the defect is removed, the capacity of the unit will be restored.
