Vyacheslav Konev has been appointed as Acting Director of the Alikhanov Institute for Theoretical and Experimental Physics (ITEP)

On July 9 2008 Director General of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Sergey Kiriyenko appointed Vyacheslav Konev as Acting Director of the Alikhanov Institute for Theoretical and Experimental Physics (ITEP) until the appointment of new director. Before the appointment Konev was Deputy Director for Research of the institute.

The director of ITEP Boris Sharkov has resigned.
