Vladimir Putin: Federal target program “Nuclear Power Technologies of New Generation” must be ready by Nov 2008

The federal target program “Nuclear Power Technologies of New Generation” must be ready by Nov 2008, Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin said during a conference on nuclear energy development in Elektrostal today.

“In the mid-term future we will have to pass to a new level. I mean the closed fuel cycle and the construction of a commercial fast-breeder reactor. This is the key goal of the federal target program “Nuclear Power Technologies of New Generation.” This program must be ready by Nov 2008,” Putin said.
