Nuclear reactor ADE-2 was put into operation in 1964. It is the main source of heat for Zheleznogorsk city. During the prophylactic maintenance of energy reactor ADE-2 the heat supply of Zheleznogorsk city is performed by the boiler rooms of Mountain chemical integrated plant The fuel of these boilers is coal and boiler oil. The boiler rooms have enough supply of the fuel.

All the planned and prophylactic maintenance on the reactor stop, transshipment of fuel and technical support are held by the specialists of reactor operation at Mountain chemical integrated plant in accordance with approved regulations.
