On the operation of Novovoronezh NPP on 17–23 September

The energy units № 3, 4 and 5 at Novovoronezh NPP has been operating successfully.

Power units № 3, 4, 5 of Novovoronezh nuclear power plant are operating successfully.

The emissions of radioactive gases and aerosols into the atmosphere through ventilation system of the nuclear power plant represent the following percentage of the allowed levels:

Inert radioactive gases — 2,5 %

Radioactive iodine — 131 — 1,1 %

The level of radiation at nuclear power plant is normal.

The average radiation level does not exceed the natural level of background radiation, which is normal for the Central European Part of Russia. The measurements are taken in the territory of Novovoonezh NPP and the city of Novovoronezh, and also at all of the 20 posts equipped with automated radiation monitoring system (ASCRO), which are located at 13 settlements within a 30-kilometer zone around Novovoronezh NPP.
