Leningrad NPP is ready for winter

On October 6, the commission of “Rosenergoatom” concern upon the order of the general director checked the readiness of the plant for operation in conditions of an autumn-winter conditions finishes its work at Leningrad nuclear power plant.

“Rosenergoatom” concern, I.V.Zonov, the experts of Balakovo nuclear power plant are involved. — The main task of the commission was to check the maintenance of operational readiness of all technological complex at the NPP for operation during the serious autumn-winter period, — told I.V.Zonov. – The preparation has been taken since March, 2006, and now we finish this stage.

— There were many directions for checking, — said Efremov V.V., the deputy head of the inspection department at Balakovo NPP. There is a program authorized by “Rosenergoatom” concern according to which the check of performance was carried out. If we compare the results of the last check with the previous ones, — Vladimir Vasiljevich told, — I will be delighted to note, that the condition at the NPP, the maintenance of its territories has changed and has changed to the best.

As the stage of Leningrad NPP preparation for the winter comes to the end by the work of the commission, members of the commission should confirm two facts. The first fact is that the planned actions are executed, the second is that they are executed with expected result, i.e. have performed the necessary effect consisting in operational readiness of buildings, constructions, equipment and the personnel of NPP to operation during the autumn-winter period of 2006–2007.

— The task, — considers the chairman of the commission, — was completely executed: we checked up the readiness and we were convinced, that all systems of Leningrad NPP is ready for winter. The results of our check are reflected in the corresponding act. The commission will recommend the General director of “Rosenergoatom” to give out the passport of the readiness for operation during the autumn-winter period to Leningrad nuclear power plant, because there are no remarks interfering.
