About the operation of Novovoronezh NPP in September 2006

10.10.2006 // The Department of information at Novovoronezh NPP

In September 2006 Novovoronezh NPP has produced 1156.9 million kW per hour of electric energy.

The monthly task of Federal service of tariffs (FST) of Russia on the production of electric energy is executed on 110.8 %.

The production rate in September of the current year is 136.5 million kW per hour more than the similar period of the last year.

The energy units ¹ 3, 4 operated in the normal mode.

On September, 4, 2006, 3 days earlier the scheduled date, at 20.41, after the finished scheduled preventive maintenance and the overload of nuclear fuel for the power unit ¹ 5 the turbogenerator ¹ 14 has been connected to the network. Since September the 4th the energy unit ¹ 5 operated in a normal mode.

The operating ratio of the established capacity for the NPP in September has made – 87.6 % (scheduled KIUM was 79.1 %).

The Radiation emissions of Novovoronezh NPP into the environment were within the limits of allowable monthly levels last month. This fact is proved by the table.

The average values of a radiation background in the settlements within a 30 km zone around Novovoronezh NPP corresponded to the level of natural background radiation. Common rate for the Central European Part of Russia is in between 8–25 micro roentgen per hour. This fact is proved by the table 2.

Monthly average values of radiation background measured at the stations of radiation control of the system of the automated control of radiating condition (ASCRO) within a 30 km zone around Novovoronezh NPP.
