The technical condition of Smolensk NPP

The second and the third energy units are operating at Smolensk NPP. Their total capacity is 2020 MW.

There are no remarks for the operation of the equipment. The first energy unit is under scheduled major overhaul with partial replacement of technological channels. All the works are conducted according to the schedule.

From the beginning of the year Smolensk NPP has produced for the unified energy system of Russia 15 billion 800 million kW per hour of the electric power which is 488 million kW per hour more than the planned quantity for this period. In October the output of the electric power has made 778 million kW per hour, which exceeds the plan for 58 million kW per hour.

The radiation background at Smolensk NPP and its territory corresponds to the natural radiation background.
