“Rosenergoatom” NPPs are safe and stable

In Jan-Nov 2006 the Russian NPPs generated a total of 140,704.6 mln KW, which is 105.4% of Jan-Nov 2005

The balance of the Federal Tariff Service of Russia was fulfilled by 102.2%.

No violations of INES were recorded, just like a year before. The radiation background at the NPPs and in the nearby areas was within norm.

Presently, the NPPs of the Russian Federation operate 31 reactors. 15 of them are VVER reactors (pressurized-water reactors ): 9 VVER-1000, 6 VVER-440. 15 reactors are of RBMK type (boiling-water graphite reactors): 11 RBNK-1000, 4 EGP-6 and 1 BN-600 (fast breeder reactor).
