Dec 22 is the double holiday for the personnel of Leningrad NPP — the Professional Day of Power Engineer and the Birthday of the plant

Official reception in honor of LNPP employees and veterans will be held at “Energetik” Sports and Concert Complex.

An official reception in honor of the LNPP employees and veterans will be held at the «Energik» Sports and Concert Center on this occasion. The designers, constructors and present partners of the plant are also invited to the event.

Today 33 years ago the State Acceptance Committee accepted the 1st unit of the LNPP.

In the following decades the plant has played a big role in the formation and development of Russia’s nuclear power industry. It ensures 30% of electricity supplies in the North-Western Region of Russia. The plant has so far produced 711.5bln KW  — which is the record of the Russian nuclear power industry.

The unique experience of the plant has resulted in many research projects and scientific discoveries, which has allowed the LNPP’s management to successfully complete the repairs and upgrading of the 1st and 2nd units of the plant and to prolong the service period of the plant.

These achievements are the result of the professional work and high responsibility of the plant’s personnel, the personal contribution of each worker in the stable and safe operation of the units and uninterrupted supply of the North-Western Region of Russia.

During the reception the Head of the Control and Security Department of the plant N. Veselov and Shift Manager V. Araslanov will get certificates of honor, 29 — employees will get the title «Veteran of Nuclear Power Engineering,» 9 — Certificate of Honor of Rosenergoatom, 7 — the concern’s silver medal, 162 — Certificate of Honor of the LNPP director.

The municipality of Sosnovy Bor will also present awards and certificates to the LNPP personnel.
