The 1st unit of Tianwan NPP is under 700-hour demonstration exploitation

On Dec 26, 2006, specialists of Atomstrojeksport CJSC started the 700-hour demonstration exploitation of the 1st unit of Tianwan NPP in line with the General Contract.

The initial capacity was 80%, but it is being gradually raised and now is 89%.

During the demonstration period the Chinese and Russian specialists will attentively follow the performance of all systems and equipment. As soon as the National Supervisory Authority of China allows, the capacity will be raised to 100%.

As of today the 1st unit of Tianwan has produced 1,130,265 MWh.
