State Duma adopts “tunnel law”

State Duma has adopted the bill on the reformation of Russia’s nuclear power complex

During its plenary session on Jan 19 State Duma adopted the third reading of the bill «On the Peculiarities of the Management and Disposition of the Property and Shares of Organizations Using Nuclear Energy and On Relevant Changes to Some Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation» — a document proposing to reform the civil part of Rosatom and to form an Atomprom holding.

The aim of the law is to form a legal basis for restructuring the nuclear power sector by merging JSCs, federal state unitary enterprises and federal state institutions of the civil nuclear power sector  into a vertically-integrated structure.
