RAO UES and Rosatom will shortly discuss the place of nuclear energy in the general scheme for power capacities deployment in Russia till 2020

During the presentation of RAO UES’ investment program on Feb 13 RAO UES President Anatoly Chubais said: “We have finished the formation of the nuclear component in the general scheme for power capacities deployment in Russia till 2020 and are planning to shortly meet with the head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko for discussing this issue.”

He noted that as much as 2.4 GW of new nuclear power capacities are to be launched in 2006–2010, but the key plans are ahead.

The meeting of the heads of RAO UES and Rosatom may take place as early as this Friday.
