13.02.2007 // Press service of Federal Agency of Nuclear Energy
The director general of Rosatomstroy Artyom Butov and the director of the federal program for the construction of Zheleznogorsk TPP of US Energy Department Jeff Robertson and the vice president of Raytheon Technical Services David Dacquino met in Moscow on Feb 12
The meeting was held in the framework of the planned quarterly reporting.
On the eve of the meeting Robertson and Dacquino inspected the TPP site and gave a positive assessment of the project.
Since the launch of the project the American partners have been assessing its course according to the “red, orange and green line” system. This time the situation on the site has been qualified as stable “green,” which means that the development of the working documentation and the process of construction are being carried out according to the schedule. Presently, the sides are carrying out the engineering of the steam boiler, the fuel feeder of the first launching complex, the auxiliary buildings and the on-site networks as well as the Main Building. They are also drafting the working documentation of the General Plan. The long-term production main equipment (low- and high-pressure boilers, dust extraction plant, etc.) and short-term production equipment for high prority construction projects have already been purchased or are being produced.
Shortly, the sides are to conclude a contract on the installation of a number of facilities
During the meeting the sides discussed the problem of financing. The total financing is 443,184,456 USD. The current financing – the money allocated since the launch of the project – is 120,960,278.88 USD. 57,746,166.79 USD of it was spent in Jan 2007,.
The American partners have officially confirmed that in 2007 they will allocate 155mln USD. The sides discussed how this money will be used.
