Rosatom announces a contest of projects by non-commercial, public and ecological organizations. The projects will be implemented in seven Russian regions in 2007
This initiative is part of the program for involving public organizations in joint activities. The program began in 2006 with a contest among the public organizations of Chelyabinsk region.
According to the decree of the head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko, the contest and the following projects will be coordinated by the Rosatom Public Council.
The contest is held among non-for-profit, public and ecological organizations that are planning projects in Leningrad, Mumansk, Kaliningrad, Chelyabinsk, Tomsk, Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk regions.
The jury will comprise representatives of the Rosatom Public Council and regional NGOs.
The results of the contest will be summed up in late Apr 2007.
The grant fund of the last year’s contest in Chelyabinsk totaled 10mln RUR. 30 organizations took part in the contest. The jury selected 12 projects: ecological measures for children in Chelyabinsk and Krasnodar regions, training and educational programs in schools, measures for improving the material resources of medical institutions in villages, etc.
