Rosenergoatom and Atomstroyexport managers pay working visit to Bulgaria

On Feb 14–16 Director General of Rosenergoatom Sergey Obozov and Director General of Atomstroyexport Sergey Shmatko paid a working visit to Bulgaria

The Russian delegation comprised managers of Rosenergoatom, Kalinin NPP and Atomtekhenergo. The Russian delegates visited the office of the National Energy Company of Bulgaria and negotiated with the company’s management. The sides discussed the prospects for developing the energy market in the Balkans and cooperating on the construction of Belene NPP.

The Russian delegation visited the Belene construction site, inspected the plant’s equipment and familiarized themselves with the results of the work of the Joint Equipment Assessment Committee.
 
Note:

On Jan 14 2007 the owner and the contractor set up a joined assessment committee for the organization of the purchase and the use of equipment for  the 1st unit of Belene.

The relevant decision was made by the NEC (Bulgaria) and Aromstroyexport (Russia) on Nov 29 2006. The committee also includes Rosenergoatom representatives.

The committee is to work till late Marc.
