50 householders from Muslumovo, a village that suffered from a defense project in the 1950s, are moving to new houses
The voluntary resettlement program was launched in late 2006 and is financed by Rosatom and the Government of Chelyabinsk region.
In Nov 2006 Rosatom fulfilled its part of financial obligations by allocating 600mln RUR.
The program allows Muslumovo residents to sell each of their 741 houses for 1mln RUR and to buy houses in any other settlements or to invest money in the construction of new houses at Muslumovo station.
As of now, 309 householders have already decided to move: 81 to move new houses at Muslumovo station, 228 to buy new houses in other settlements of Chelyabinsk region. 50 householders have already concluded the contracts, the others are preparing their documents.
The program is carried out with the support of the special Fund and Information Center as well as realty companies of Chelyabinsk region.
