150bln RUR allocated for nuclear energy development in Russia

28.03.2007 // RBC

Over 150bln RUR has been allocated for nuclear energy development in Russia in 2009–2010, Russian Vice Premier Alexander Zhukov told journalists today.

Zhukov pointed out that in 2008 the program will receive three times as much as in 2007.

Special attention will be given to road construction: the three year road network modernization will be fully financed in two years, which will allow to build 10,000 km and to restore over 50,000 km of roads in 2008–2009. “We could not afford such expenses before,” Zhukov said.

Much money will be allocated for the development of science: nano- and bio-technologies, aviation and ship building. “This three-year budget will bring us closer to our goal, will make us less dependent on oil revenues and more confident of our industrial capacities.”
