The head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko met with Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Aso in Tokyo on Apr 11 2007.

During the meeting the sides expressed their satisfaction with the work of the experts drafting a Russian-Japanese agreement on large-scale cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

The spokesman of Rosatom Sergey Novikov says that as early as this month the sides may start inter-governmental consultations, which is a direct way to the signing of the document.
