Sergey Kiriyenko pays a working visit to Mongolia

Today the head of the Federal Agency of Nuclear Energy Sergey Kiriyenko left Tokyo and went on a one-day visit to Mongolia

The press service of Rosatom reports that the key objective of the visit is to develop peaceful nuclear energy cooperation with Mongolia, particularly, in the sphere of uranium extraction.

Kiriyenko is to meet with Mongolian President Nambaryn Enkhbayar, Prime Minister Miegombo Enkhbold and other government officials.

In Japan Kiriyenko took part in an annual conference of Japan Atomic Industrial Forum and met with a number of local officials and big businessmen.

The key topic of the talks was the preparation of the Russian-Japanese inter-governmental agreement on cooperation in nuclear energy. This document is supposed to pave the way for direct contacts between Russian and Japanese companies operating on the world nuclear technologies market.
