In Jan-Mar 2007 Russian NPPs fulfilled 98.4% of electricity production plan

In Jan-Mar 2007 the Russian NPPs produced 40.628bln KWh or 95.7% of the index of 2006 and 98.4% of this year’s plan

WWER plants produced 22.450bln KWh or 97.7% of the index of 2006; RBMK and EGP plants produced 18.178bln KWh or 93.4% of 2006.

The capacity factor made up 81%

No single above-zero INES incident was registered at the Russian NPPs in Jan-Mar 2007, just like Jan-Mar 2006.

No safety limits were exceeded.

Presently, Russia has 10 NPPs with 31 units operating at a total capacity of 23,242 MW. Of them 15 are WWER reactors (9 WWER-1000, 6 WWER-440), 15 RBMK reactors (11 RBMK-1000 and 4 EGP-6) and 1 BN reactor.
