Generator of 2nd unit of Tianwan NPP switched on for the first time

The generator of the 2nd unit of Tianwan NPP was switched on for the first time on May 14 2007

Shortly the unit will be tested at 40% of nominal capacity after which it will be stopped for planned preventive maintenance.

The turbine of the unit was turned on on May 11 after which the thermal capacity of the 2nd unit was raised to 37%. The testing has shown that the turbine is operating satisfactorily.
