25 units with a total capacity of 17,026MW were in service at Roseneregoatom NPPs on May 21 2007

The 10 NPPs of Rosenergoatom Concern have 31 units with a total capacity of 23,242MW: 15 WWER reactors: 9 WWER-1000 and 6 WWER-440; 15 RBMK reactors: 11 RBMK-1000 and 4 EGP-6; and 1 BN reactor.

Today, on May 21 2007, 25 units are in service. They are operating at a total capacity of 17,026MW.

The capacity factor of the NPPs makes up 73%.

6 units and 2 turbine generators were under repairs as of May 21 5:00 PM:

3 units and 1 TG are being overhauled:
• Smolensk NPP — 2nd unit,
• Kola NPP — 3rd unit,
• Volgodonsk NPP — 1st unit,
• Novovoronezh NPP — TG-10 of 3rd unit.

2 units and 1 TG are under mid-term repairs:
• Bilibino NPP — 2nd unit,
• Kalinin NPP — 3rd unit,
• Beloyarsk NPP — TG-4 of 3rd unit.

1 unit under short-term repairs:
• Kursk NPP — 3rd unit.

1 TG in reserve:
• Kola NPP, 4th unit — TG-8.

The NPPs are operating safely. The radiation background at the plants and in the nearby areas is within norm.

Today, Russia is in top three in NPP safety and in top five in NPP capacity in the world.

In the last three years the Russian NPPs have registered no single above zero INES incident.
