Russian Government establishes Atomenergoprom

The Russian Government has passed a resolution on the establishment of Atomenergoprom

In order to implement the Apr 27 2007 decree by the President of the Russian Federation “On the Reorganization of the Nuclear Power Industry of the Russian Federation,” the Government of the Russian Federation has passed a resolution on the establishment of Atomenergoprom, a 100% state-owned open JSC.

The Government has approved a list of JSCs and federal state unitary enterprises (FSUE) that will be incorporated into Atomenergoprom. The resolution stipulates that FSUEs should be reorganized into JSCs and their shares should be transferred into the authorized capital of Atomenergoprom. The holding will also comprise a number of specialized educational institutions.

The Government has empowered the Federal Agency for Nuclear Energy to be the shareholder of the state-owned JSCs of the nuclear power sector.
