The Technical Committee of Rosenergoatom and Swedish Nuclear Inspectorate (SKI) for ICP project met in Stockholm on June 5–8 2007
The Russian delegation was led by the head of the Scientific Technical Support Department Sergey Nemytov, the Swedish delegation by the ICP director Magnus Vesterlind.
The Committee discussed the fulfillment of ten approved projects – for Kola and Leningrad NPPs. Of them five projects will be finished this year at Kola NPP and six projects at Leningrad NPP. The sides confirmed their co-financing of the projects. They noted that, unlike the first years, presently they comply with the schedule.
The sides coordinated a list of projects for 2008, considered projects for 2009 and possibilities of further cooperation in 2010.
This autumn Rosenergoatom and SKI will conduct a seminar on the problems of erosion-corrosion in Obninsk.
The next meeting is scheduled for Dec. During the meeting the Committee will sum up the results of 2007 and outline plans for 2008.
Russia and Sweden cooperate on modernization of Kola and Leningrad NPPs: 10 projects are being carried out at the plants under ICP program. This year Rosenergoatom and SKI have marked the 10th anniversary of their cooperation.
