Formation of Atomenergoprom to be completed by the end of this year

The formation of Atomenergoprom state holding is being carried out according to the schedule and will be completed by the end of this year

During a press-conference today Head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko said: “The formation of Atomenergoprom is being carried out according to the schedule. Last week we submitted relevant documents to the Government and are expecting that by the end of this week the company’s charter, executive body and watchdog committee.”

“After that we will be able to register the company. The state-owned stakes of 30 JSCs, including Techsnabexport and TVEL, will be transferred to the holding’s authorized capital by Aug 1.” “Simultaneously, we are corporizing federal state unitary enterprises. This process will be finished by Nov 2007. By the end of this year the government shares of the newly formed JSC will be transferred to Atomenergoprom’s authorized capital. Thus, by the end of this year the holding will be formed,” Kiriyenko said.

Atomenergoprom will be a 100%-state-owned vertically integrated company.

Atomenergoprom will offer the whole range of nuclear and fuel services – from NPP design and construction to uranium mining and nuclear fuel production.
