Director General of Mayak PA Vitaly Sadovnikov has retired

Head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko has issued a commendation to Sadovnikov for his outstanding services to Russia’s nuclear power industry.

Director of Plant 156 Sergey Baranov has been named to act as Director General of Mayak PA.

Biography:

Sergey Baranov was born in Vostochny, Serov district, Sverdlovsk region, on July 17, 1957. In 1980 he graduated from Ural Polytechnic Institute – Technology of Rare Elements; in 1991 from F.Dzerzhinsky Military Academy – Tactical Engineering, Special Weapons.

He is Candidate of Science.

In 1980–1982 Baranov worked at All-Russian Research Institute of Complex Engineering (Ozersk, Chelyabinsk region). In 1982–1999 he served in the army.

In 1999 he was appointed as director of defense plant 156 of Mayak PA.
