Managers of Rosenergoatom and Electricite de France have exchanged experience

Representatives of Rosenergoatom and Electricite de France met at Moscow World Trade Center on July 11–12 2007 to exchange experience in optimizing centralization and decentralization of functions and responsibility within a company as well as in centralizing and decentralizing a company’s financial resources through budgeting.

First Deputy Director General of Rosenergoatom Alexander Lokshin pointed out that, now that Rosatom is centralizing functions inside the sector, it needs international experience, particularly, the financial-economic experience of EDF.

During the meeting the sides examined EDF’s organizational structure, the architecture of its management system, the process of decision making inside the company.

Financial Director of EDF Division Production Nucléaire Patrick Jacques told his Russian colleagues about DPN’s achievements and EDF’s strategic plans.

He shared EDF’s experience in quinquennial, mid-term and annual budgeting and in involving different management levels in this process. He reported about his service’s interaction with other DPN departments and about EDF’s efficiency enhancement projects, particularly, the mechanism of push on costs.

Both sides were satisfied with the results of the meeting.
