On Aug 6 Rosenergoatom will report on fulfillment of its Corporate Agreement 2006

26.07.2007 // Information Department of Leningrad NPP

Results of the fulfillment of Rosenergoatom Corporate Agreement will be summed up in Kursk

During a conference at Kursk NPP on Aug 6 2007 Director General of Rosenergoatom Concern Sergey Obozov will make a report on the fulfillment of the Concern’s Corporate Agreement in the sphere of labor and social relations in 2006.

The Agreement took effect on June 1 2005 for 2005–2007. It is a complex document regulating social partnership between two equal sides: employer, represented by Rosenergoatom Concern, and employees, represented by the trade unions of the Rosenergoatom NPPs.

The Agreement serves as a basis for the collective agreements of the Rosenergoatom NPPs. The existing collective agreement of Leningrad NPP was adopted in 2006 and will be valid till 2008.

Special local committees representing the employer and the employees on a parity basis are constantly watching if the NPPs comply with their collective agreements.

A similar Rosenergoatom committee comprising deputy directors for personnel and social security off Rosenergoatom and its NPPs and representatives of trade unions monitors the fulfillment of the Corporate Agreement.

The committee met on July 25 to sum up the preliminary results and to consider the agenda of the Aug 6 conference. According to the preliminary findings, in 2006 the Corporate Agreement was fulfilled by both the employer and the employees.

So, we can expect that there will be no controversy over the report during the conference.

The leader of the trade union of Leningrad NPP A.Zaytsev believes that the conferees will be mostly interested in Rosenergoatom’s forthcoming corporization. For example, they may want to know what relations Rosenergoatom will have with the Corporate Mortgage Crediting Fund after becoming a joint stock company.

Presently, the Fund is a non-commercial organization authorized to closely control the use of funds allocated by Rosenergoatom Concern for crediting of the employees that need houses. Today, the Fund is non-for-profit organization: it seeks no profit. But what it will do when Rosenergoatom is turned into a joint stock company? This will certainly be one of the first questions to be asked at the conference.
