Rosenergoatom will build new units at four NPPs

Rosenergoatom has received all necessary permissions for building new units at Volgodonsk, Beloyarsk, Kalinin and Novovoronezh NPPs.

Rosenergoatom has received all necessary permissions for building new units at Volgodonsk, Beloyarsk, Kalinin and Novovoronezh NPPs, the deputy director general of Rosenergoatom Alexander Polushkin said during a conference on energy safety in Sosnovy Bor, Leningrad region, on Thursday.

The construction of the units is part of the Federal Target Program for the Development of the Nuclear Power Industry of Russia in 2007–2015.

Presently, Rosenergoatom has 10 nuclear power plants with a total capacity of 23.242 MW.
