TVEL Corporation has joined Atomenergoprom

TVEL Corporation, the major Russian nuclear fuel producer and exporter, has joined Atomenergoprom holding, reports the press service of the holding.

The authorized capital of TVEL consists of 6,224,103 ordinary shares. 100% of them belong to Rosimuschestvo (Russian State Property Agency).

The corporation comprises Mashinostroitelny Zavod (Elemash), Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrate Plant, Chepetsk Mechanical Plant.

TVEL supplies fuel to all Russian nuclear power plants as well as to Ukraine, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Finland, Armenia, Lithuania, China, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

In 2006 the net profit of the company made up 3.16bln RUR, the income – 28.5bln RUR. This year TVEL is planning to increase its income to 38.2bln RUR and net profit to 4.6bln RUR.
