Conference-seminar of heads of IT services of Atomenergoprom enterprises took place in Moscow in late Oct 2007

Representatives of Rosenergoatom Concern, TVEL, Techsnabexport, Atomstroyexport, Hydropress, the world biggest suppliers of computer hardware and software and leading Russian IT companies took part in the event.

In his address to the conferees the director of Atomenergoprom holding V.Travin pointed out that Atomenergoprom is supposed to become one of the biggest players on the world energy market. “Our Government has instructed us to consolidate our civil nuclear companies for meeting the growing energy demand and for promoting our high technologies on the world market. We will hardly be able to do it without information and communication technologies. I am sure that during this conference we will elaborate solutions that will help us to solve our tasks,” Travin said.

The conferees discussed a wide range of problems. The reporters spoke about IT policy and strategic program for development of SAR solutions. Rosenergoatom Concern presented its IT project for creating a corporate information-communication system.

IT specialists of Microsoft, Cisco Systems, SAR and other companies presented their visions of the future of nuclear energy in Russia. EMC, the world leading designer of technologies and solutions for information infrastructure, told the conferees about ways to effectively manage the information infrastructures of organizations with ramified structures, while Intertex consulting group (Russia) reported about the construction of information space on the basis of service-oriented architecture.
