Head of Rosatom and representative of the President to Ural Federal District are visiting Beloyarsk NPP

The head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko and representative of the President to Ural Federal District Pyotr Latyshev are visiting Beloyarsk NPP and Mayak PA Oct 31-Nov 1 2007.

“During the visit we are going to discuss the course of the construction of the unit of Beloyarsk NPP and the program for development of nuclear companies of Ural Federal District,” Latyshev said during a press-conference.

Beloyarsk NPP is the only Russian nuclear power plant operating a fast-breeder BN-600 reactor (the unit was built in 1980 and has a capacity of 600 MW). Mayak Production Association is one of the biggest Russian centers for treatment of radioactive materials.
