Sergey Kiriyenko is satisfied with the course of the construction of BN-800 unit of Beloyarsk NPP

Head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko and Representative of President to Ural Federal District Pyotr Latyshev visited Beloyarsk NPP Nov 1

They were accompanied by Acting Director General of Rosenergoatom Alexander Lokshin and representatives of regional and local authorities. Director of Beloyarsk NPP Nikolay Oshkanov showed the guests the construction site of BN-800 unit.

During a subsequent conference, Kiriyenko expressed satisfaction with the course of the project. At the beginning of the year the constructors were behind the schedule, but now they have increased their pace and are going to do all the work planned for the year. In 2008 they will have to do twice as much work.

“The unit must be launched in time – by 2012,” Kiriyenko said.
