Bilibino NPP has been proclaimed the best in safety culture among the nuclear power plants of Russia in 2007

The Day of Safety Culture took place at Rosenergoatom Concern on Nov 27. 

During an open video conference, the expert commission summed up the results of the year. Bilibino NPP was proclaimed the best.

This year Bilibino NPP has shown excellent performance: no single incident — not mentioning accidents — has been registered at the plant throughout the year. The plant carries out systematic work to cultivate safety culture among its personnel.

The plant carries out effective measures for preventing on-site violations, training its young specialists and enhancing the efficiency of its management system.

The victory of Bilibino NPP is the merit of the whole staff of the plant.

The Day of Safety Culture has been held at Rosenergoatom Concern since 2004. The Day of Safety Culture is also the Day of Memory of Boris Antonov, one of the directors of the concern, who has greatly contributed to the establishment of safety culture principles at the REA NPPs. The key objective of the Day of Safety Culture is to sum up the results of the work of the management and personnel of the Rosenergoatom Central Office and nuclear power plants in the field of safety culture.
