Government’s Military Industry Commission is 50 years old

First Vice Premier of Russia Sergey Ivanov has congratulated veterans and members of Government’s Military Industry Commission on its 50th anniversary

“Being a powerful and effective instrument for implementing state decisions in the sphere of military technology and industry, our commission has made a really outstanding contribution to the social-economic development and the national security of our country,” Ivanov said.

He read out the greeting of President Putin to the veterans and members of the commission. In his message Putin pointed out the great contribution of the commission to the development of the economy and defense capacity of Russia.

“The present generation of the commissioners is protecting and developing the traditions and is taking a very active part in the implementation of the state policy for the development of the military technological basis of the Russian army and navy,” says Putin. He is convinced that the commission will continue to successfully act for the benefit of Russia.

People’s Artist of the USSR Vasily Lanovoy, Hero of Russia, cosmonaut Vladimir Solovyov and cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko (right from the orbit) congratulated the former and present commissioners on their holiday.
