A number of Rosatom employees have been awarded orders and medals

President of the Russian Federation has decreed to award the following people the following orders and medals:

ORDER OF HONOR has been granted to:

1. VLADIMIR KOVALYOV – chief expert of All-Russian Research Institute of Automatics for outstanding contribution to the conduct of non-nuclear explosion tests at the Central Proving Ground of the Russian Federation.

2. VLADMIR SYTSKO – deputy head of the complex design and research bureau of the All-Russian Research and Development Institute of Industrial Technology for outstanding contribution to the conduct of non-nuclear explosion tests at the Central Proving Ground of the Russian Federation.

ORDER OF FRIENDSHIP has been granted to:

3. ALEXANDER AGAPOV – head of Nuclear and Radiation Safety Department of Rosatom for outstanding contribution to the development of the nuclear industry and its nuclear and radiation safety.

4. BORIS LOMBERG – deputy director general for metal materials of All-Russian Research Institute of Aviation Materials for outstanding contribution to the design and introduction of materials for the production of components of nuclear energy systems.

5. SERGEY LOPAREV – first deputy director-head of Planning and Economic Development of All-Russian Research Institute of Automatics for active participation in the implementation of the State Armament Program -2010 and the federal target program for the development of the nuclear defense complex and to the conduct of non-nuclear explosion tests at the Central Proving Ground of the Russian Federation.

LUDMILA NIKONOVA – senior engineer of Complex Design and Research Bureau of All-Russian and Research Institute of Industrial Technology for outstanding contribution to the design of special components and technologies for non-nuclear explosion tests at the Central Proving Ground of the Russian Federation.

9. VLADIMIR NOVIKOV – senior engineer of Equipment Department of Complex Design Bureau #6 of Atomenergoproekt FSUE, liquidator of Chernobyl accident.

10. YURI PUCHKOV – deputy head of Research Department of All-Russian Research Institute of Automatics for outstanding contribution to the design of neutron sources for non-nuclear explosion tests at the Central Proving Ground of the Russian Federation.

11. ANATOLY SVIRIDOV – head of Research Department of All-Russian Research Institute of Automatics for participation in the development of the first methodology for testing nuclear warheads of torpedo weapons at the Central Proving Ground of the Russian Federation.

12. NINA SOLOVYOVA – senior engineer of Chemical-Analytical Laboratory of Atomenergoproekt FUE, liquidator of Chernobyl accident.

13. BORIS TURCHANINOV – chief expert of Master Plan and Transportation Department of Complex Design Bureau #6 of Atomenergoproekt FSUE, liquidator of Chernobyl accident.

14. ALEXANDER SHMYGIN – deputy head of Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Fuel Cycle Department for outstanding contribution to the design of nuclear power plants with RBMK and WWER reactors and active participation in their launch.

17. NIKOLAY TROFIMOV – chief expert of Nuclear and Radiation Safety Department of the Federal Agency for Nuclear Energy, liquidator of Chernobyl accident.

TITLE “HONORED MACHINE BUILDER OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION” has been granted to:

ALEXANDER KOCHAROVSKY – senior researcher-deputy head of Research Department of All-Russian Research Institute of Automatics for outstanding contribution to the design and production of special automatic systems for nuclear weapons and equipment for tests at the Central Proving Ground of the Russian Federation.

TITLE “HONORED MINER OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION” has been granted to:

19. YURI BOROZDIN – chief specialists of Atomredmetzoloto OJSC for outstanding contribution to the formation of big uranium companies for the development of uranium deposits.
