Turbine generator 3 of Kursk NPP has been restarted

The turbine generator was stopped on Sunday 6:46 PM because of a problem in the generator feed system.

The capacity of unit 2 was halved to 500MW.

The problem was removed the same day and the turbine generator was restarted at 11:27 PM.

Presently, Kursk NPP is operating safely. The radiation background at the plant and in the nearby area is within norm.
