Head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko and Chairman of RTUNW Igor Fomichyov wish veterans and workers of nuclear industry Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Dear friends, colleagues, dear veterans of nuclear power industry of Russia,

We wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

First of all, we would like to thank each of you for your work in 2007. 2007 has become a historic year for our nuclear history. This year we have almost finished reforming the sector and have shown excellent performance.

The establishment of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation and Atomenergoprom JSC is an excellent basis for developing the potential of our industry. Today, we are opening a new page in the history of the Russian nuclear industry.

We have launched new construction projects; for the first time in our history, we have commissioned two nuclear power units in China; we have entered new markets and have started up new innovative productions.

2007 was a successfully year. We have done really much. But next year we have to do even more. We need a breakthrough in science and personnel training. We hope that our veterans will help us to recruit and train young specialists. As far as we are concerned, we will try to provide them with worthy wages. 

We can do it if we do it all together.

We wish you health, happiness and professional achievements.
