President of Atomstroyexport CJSC Sergey Shmatko has been appointed as Deputy Director of Atomenergoprom OJSC

Director of Atomenergoprom OJSC Vladimir Travin has appointed President of Atomstroyexport CJSC Sergey Shmatko as Deputy Director of Atomenergorpom OJSC. Shmatko will combine the two offices and will be responsible for the foreign economic activities of Atomenergoprom.

Biography

Sergey Shmatko was born in Stavropol on Sept 26 1966. In 1983–1990 he studied at the mathematics-mechanics and political economics departments of Ural State University (Sverdlovsk). In 1990–1992 he studied at the Economics Department of Marburg University (Germany). In 2004 he attended Defense and Security course at the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

In 1985–1988 Shmatko served in the submarine forces of the Northern Fleet.

In 1992–1994 he was auditor at BDO Binder (Frankfurt)

In 1994 he was appointed as director of RFI GmbH.

In June 1995-Dec 1997 he was researcher of the Investment Institute and managed the Foreign Relations Department of the All-Russian Bank for the Development of Regions.

In 1997–1999 Shmatko was the director of the Analytical Center of Rosenergoatom Concern.

In 1999–2001 he was economic strategy advisor of the director general of VNIIAES.

In 2002–2005 he was the chairman of the State Conversion Fund.

In Feb-June 2005 Shmatko was advisor of the chairman of the board of Gazprombank and vice president of Atomstroyexport CJSC.

In June 2005 Shmatko was appointed as President of Atomstroyexport CJSC.
