Committee on Natural Monopolies of Federation Council is planning to hold a guest meeting in Podolsk

The Committee on Natural Monopolies of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation is planning to hold meeting in Podolsk for considering the preparedness of the power equipment production industry of Russia to meet the parameters of the federal target program for the development of the nuclear industry of Russia in 2007–2010 and -2015.

Together with representatives of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation and members of the State Duma, the senators are planning to consider ways of legislative support for the development of nuclear power equipment production at both federal and regional levels. They will also analyze the preparedness of research and development companies to draft documentation for the NPP-2006 project. One more topic is improvement of the legislation concerning the control of the quality of equipment supplied to nuclear power plants.

The meeting is to take place at ZiO-Podolsk OJSC on Mar 21 2008.
